‘Bandstand Peel Park Salford’ is a pencil drawing produced by L.S Lowry in 1924 and is one of the many drawings Lowry made of Peel Park in Salford, Greater Manchester. This drawing focuses on the bandstand that had been built in 1902 and was the focal point for visitors for many years before it was demolished in 1965. The view is based at the back of Salford Museum & Art Gallery.
Laurence Stephen Lowry RBA RA (/ˈlaʊri/ LAO-ree; 1 November 1887 – 23 February 1976) was an English artist. His drawings and paintings mainly depict Pendlebury, Lancashire (where he lived and worked for more than 40 years) as well as Salford and its vicinity.
Lowry is famous for painting scenes of life in the industrial districts of North West England in the mid-20th century.
